Not improving?

Before proceeding with the advice below please go through this website from start to finish to make sure you have followed all the steps correctly. You can also consider a free telehealth consultation with one of our expert practitioners click here. Common errors include

  • Patients not following the treatment for inflammation correctly

  • Not pacing properly (see resources on “pacing” and “more on pacing”)

  • Not selecting the correct location of pain

  • Not carefully following all of the advice (including all of the links)

  • Expecting full recovery in 1-2 weeks. If you are improving over 1-2 weeks that is a good sign. Continue with the recommended physiotherapy treatment

If after checking all the above you are not improving after 1-2 weeks it is likely you have a more complex musculoskeletal problem that requires an expert physiotherapy consultation. We can provide a full assessment face to face of by telehealth to confirm the diagnosis and map out an effective treatment plan. Usually this involves a 45 minute assessment and a treatment plan of 5-10 sessions over a 6-12 week period. If physiotherapy treatment is not appropriate we will refer you to alternative expert medical or allied health providers.

All of our physiotherapists have had additional training from world leading experts in the field of musculoskeletal pain. The fee for assessment is $200 and for treatment sessions $100. If you have a Medicare plan from your GP this amount is deducted from the fee.
